Formed in February, 2020, MTR Project hit the stage quickly only to have all but one of our dates cancelled by the pandemic. Eager to share the groove we found, Martin Reed, Andy Beech, Mike Hommel and Dave Rees hit the studio.

The result is a debut record that puts a new spin on the Seattle sound. The songs come from vocalist/guitarist Martin Reed’s busking days, all lyrics inspired by his decade of living through addiction, life on the street and his incredible journey of recovery.

The rhythm section features drummer Mike Hommel and bassist Dave Rees, both veteran musicians of the Seattle scene. Mike has a long history of recording and live shows, most famously with Shawn Smith in All Hail the Crown.

Dave was there at the beginning of grunge and continues that tradition, an original member of Malfunkshun and founding member of Skindiver.

Lead guitarist Andy Beech shines on the record with melodic blues driven to face melting  leads. Best known as the man who built Prince’s guitars and a touring guitar tech with Zakk Wylde during his Ozzy days, Andy shows off his real talent as he shreds throughout the MTR Project debut.
